Hiking Time:

El Hoyo Volcano offers a hiking route with an ascent of approximately 8 km, considered moderate to high in difficulty. The full round-trip takes around 7 hours, including both the ascent and descent — making it a rewarding challenge for adventure seekers.

Climb to the Summit:

Hike through rocky terrain, climb past ancient volcanic cones, and reach the Summit where you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the León plains, Asososca Lagoon, Lake Xolotlán, and several surrounding volcanoes—including the iconic Momotombo.
